The XL tip has a longer body for reaching into deeper or narrower vessels. It does not change the nominal 10 µL maximum capacity.
Choose filtered tips when reducing aerosol transfer between the sample and pipette is important. Non-filtered tips are suitable for many routine workflows where an aerosol barrier is not required.
