Partially Autoclavable 8-Channel Pipette

An eight-channel adjustable manual pipette for organized, column-wise plate work. Five current range options support different sample and reagent volumes, and the aligned head handles eight positions together.

  • 5 volume-range options: 0.5–300 µL across separate models.
  • 8-channel head: parallel transfers for compatible standard 96-well plate layouts.
  • Partially autoclavable: approved lower components only; the handle must not be autoclaved.
  • Bench-friendly controls: thumb plunger, finger support and a tip-ejection control.

MANUAL LIQUID HANDLING | 8-CHANNEL | ADJUSTABLE VOLUME

An eight-channel adjustable manual pipette for organized, column-wise plate work. Five current range options support different sample and reagent volumes, and the aligned head handles eight positions together. Autoclaving is limited to the designated lower components, not the complete handle.

Pipette Structure and Functional Design

Design feature Function and practical benefit
Plunger and finger support The manual thumb control and shaped finger rest support a stable grip during repeated aspiration and dispensing.
Volume-setting window The front window displays the selected setting. Adjust only within the range marked on the individual instrument.
8-position head 8 aligned positions support simultaneous transfers. Fit compatible tips evenly and verify sealing across every channel before starting the plate.
Removable components Serviceable components allow inspection and maintenance following the supplied instructions. Recheck performance after servicing.
Autoclaving scope Designated lower components only. Do not autoclave the complete handle.

Applications and Workflow Fit

Column-wise ELISA preparation, eight-well strip setup, reagent distribution, dilution series and research plate workflows.

Choose eight channels for plate methods arranged by column, with lower-component autoclaving rather than whole-instrument treatment.

On a standard 96-well plate, the eight-channel format follows the A–H positions within a column. Plan the plate map and reagent reservoir together so each tip has adequate access to liquid. Channel count does not replace a method-specific fit and performance check.

How to Select the Right Pipette

  1. List your routine transfer volume first, then select an individual range that contains it. A family-wide minimum and maximum do not describe one universal instrument.
  2. Check that 8 channels suit your sample map and that the plate, reagent reservoir and tip rack fit your workflow.
  3. Choose partial autoclavability only when lower-component treatment meets your procedure. Select a fully autoclavable family if the complete instrument must be treated.
  4. For purchasing or qualification, request the model-specific increment and calibration data for the exact supplied configuration and your required working volumes.

Handling, Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Inspect the instrument and fit clean, correctly matched tips before use. For multichannel work, check seating and liquid levels at every position.
  • Use a consistent plunger speed, immersion depth and dispensing technique appropriate to the liquid and the supplied operating instructions.
  • Prevent liquid from entering the handle. Store the instrument upright when not in use and replace tips between samples as your procedure requires.
  • Separate only the components designated in the supplied instructions for autoclaving. Keep the upper handle out of the autoclave and allow treated components to cool and dry.
  • Inspect seals and moving parts as part of routine maintenance. Arrange a performance check after servicing, an impact or suspected leakage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does one pipette cover the complete family range?

No. Each listed range is a separate instrument option. Select the model that matches your working volume; do not adjust an instrument beyond its own marked limits.

Can the complete instrument be autoclaved?

No. Only the designated lower components are intended for autoclaving. The upper handle is not included in the autoclaving scope.

Should I choose eight or twelve channels?

Use eight channels for groups arranged down a standard 96-well plate column and twelve for groups across a row. Also check the reservoir, tip rack and labware used by your method.

Where can I find accuracy and precision data?

Request the calibration or performance document for the exact supplied model and volume range. Results and acceptance criteria should correspond to that configuration, its test volumes and the tips used.

Can Puretest support private-label enquiries?

Send your required ranges, quantities, intended market and branding or packaging requirements. Puretest can review the proposed configuration and discuss samples and quotation details before you commit to an order.
