Aluminum heat sealing foil is bonded to a compatible microplate using a controlled heat-sealing process. Choose a foil grade by plate resin, required peel or piercing behavior, and the feed format supported by your sealer.

Applications

For microplate sample preparation, storage and other qualified sealing workflows using manual, semi-automatic or automated heat sealers. Select a grade explicitly suited to the intended assay and post-seal handling.

Application and Compatibility Checklist

  1. Identify the plate manufacturer/model and resin before selecting foil.
  2. Check the sealer’s allowed feed width, core and winding direction. Use the correct plate support and adapter.
  3. Develop settings with the selected grade’s instructions. A sealer setpoint is not a service-temperature rating for the finished seal.
  4. Inspect sealing consistency across the plate, then validate peeling or piercing and the planned storage or assay conditions.
Selection note: Do not copy one temperature/dwell setting across different foil grades or sealers. Opaque aluminum foil is not an optical qPCR cover. Cryogenic storage and solvent resistance require separate confirmation.

For a useful quotation, send your plate model or drawing, preferred film construction, sheet size or roll-feed requirements, application conditions, quantity and destination country. For heat-seal products, include the sealer model. If lot-specific quality documents or special packaging are required, list them in the inquiry so they can be checked for the selected grade.

Evaluate a representative sample under your actual workflow before changing a qualified laboratory consumable. A general family description does not replace grade-specific test data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I replace adhesive foil with this?

Only if a compatible heat sealer and qualified plate/foil process are available. Heat foil and adhesive foil use different bonding methods.

Which is better, 25 or 50 µm?

Thickness alone does not determine suitability. Consider peel force, piercing needs, plate resin and the sealer’s operating window.

Is the film in the photo for 384-well plates only?

The photo demonstrates peeling on a 384-well plate. The foil must be selected by the full sealing area and plate resin, not solely by well count.
