96-Well Solid ELISA Plate, Clear Flat Bottom

Puretest 96-well solid ELISA plates provide a one-piece plate format for colorimetric immunoassay development and routine batch testing. Fixed, clear flat-bottom wells keep the plate layout together through coating, washing and reading.

  • 96 fixed wells: 8 rows × 12 columns in a non-removable plate.
  • Clear wells: for absorbance-based assay workflows.
  • Flat-bottom format: for absorbance-based ELISA workflows.
  • Surface selection: specify your required protein-binding grade when requesting a quotation.

PRODUCT DETAILS

96-Well Solid ELISA Plates for Batch Immunoassays

A consistent plate format is the starting point for a well-controlled ELISA workflow. Puretest non-removable ELISA plates bring all 96 reaction wells into one clear, flat-bottom plate body. The solid format is a practical choice when standards, blanks, controls and samples are processed together as a complete plate.

This page covers the one-piece, fixed-well format. For smaller runs that need detachable strips, compare our 96-well removable ELISA strip plate.

Product Highlights

  • One-piece construction: no separate strips to load or reposition during a full-plate run.
  • 96-well organization: an 8 × 12 layout makes it straightforward to map standards, replicates and controls.
  • Clear flat-bottom wells: the optical format is suited to colorimetric absorbance measurements after assay validation.
  • Surface selection: match the required binding grade to the molecule being immobilized and the assay chemistry.
  • Position identification: molded row and column markings help maintain orientation during manual handling.
  • Protective packaging: confirm the required packaging and carton quantity with your order.

Plate Structure and Functional Design

Design element Practical role in the workflow
Fixed-well plate body Keeps every well in the same physical assembly during coating, incubation, washing and transfer to the reader.
Flat well bottoms Provide a consistent optical geometry for absorbance measurement. Keep the underside free of scratches, fingerprints and droplets.
Clear well walls and base Allow visual checks for dispensing errors, bubbles or residual wash liquid before reading.
Defined well rims Separate adjacent reaction locations; careful pipetting and wash settings remain essential to prevent carryover.
Labeled plate perimeter Helps link each reading to a documented plate map and maintain the same orientation throughout the run.

The images show the existing clear fixed-well format. The second image is a cropped detail of the same photograph, not a different model. Confirm the supplied configuration and any required lid or seal in the quotation.

Selecting the Binding Surface

“High binding” is not a universal guarantee of a better assay. Compare candidate surfaces using your actual antigen or antibody, coating buffer, blocking reagent and wash conditions. An increase in signal is useful only if the blank, nonspecific binding and repeatability remain acceptable.

Selection point What to evaluate
High-binding requirement Consider when stronger passive protein adsorption is needed; evaluate background alongside signal.
Medium-binding requirement Compare when surface interactions or nonspecific adsorption need a different balance.
Readout Clear plates are the usual starting point for colorimetric ELISA. For fluorescent or luminescent chemistry, ask about an appropriate optical plate configuration.
Validation Use the same controls and reagent lot for a side-by-side comparison before changing a routine assay.

Applications

  • Development and optimization of direct, indirect, sandwich or competitive ELISA methods, with suitable coating chemistry.
  • Parallel evaluation of coating concentrations, blocking reagents and sample dilutions.
  • Research screening that benefits from full-plate sample batches and a fixed well layout.
  • Consumable evaluation by laboratories, distributors and assay-development teams.

Workflow and Handling Considerations

  1. Plan the plate: reserve positions for a blank, standard curve, controls and replicates before dispensing.
  2. Coat and block: follow a validated assay protocol; keep timing and conditions consistent across the plate.
  3. Wash carefully: optimize aspiration height and wash volume for the actual plate. Do not allow an automated wash head to contact the well bottom.
  4. Prepare for reading: remove bubbles, inspect the underside and confirm reader settings before collecting absorbance data.
  5. Document the run: record the plate specification, lot identification when supplied, assay settings and any deviations.

Assess a sample plate on the intended instrument before routine or automated use. A 96-well layout alone does not establish compatibility with every reader, washer or robotic gripper.

Ordering Information

For a useful quotation, send the required quantity, binding-surface preference, destination country and expected ordering frequency. If replacing an existing consumable, include its dimensional drawing or the reader and washer model so that the relevant geometry can be checked.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a solid plate different from an ELISA strip plate?

The wells in this plate cannot be removed. A strip plate separates into modules, which can be helpful for partial-plate assays. The solid plate keeps a complete 96-well batch in one assembly.

Is this the same as a PCR plate or a tissue-culture plate?

No. ELISA plate selection concerns assay binding and optical readout. PCR consumables are selected for thermal cycling, while tissue-culture surfaces are designed for cell workflows. Do not substitute one based only on well count.

Does the plate include antibodies, standards or reagents?

No assay reagents or target-specific coating are specified with this consumable. Select and validate the coating, blocking and detection system for your application.

Can you guarantee a particular background OD or assay CV?

These results depend on the plate together with the assay method, reagents, reader and handling. Define the test method and acceptance criteria when requesting technical documentation or evaluating samples.

Can I request a sample before a bulk order?

Contact Puretest with the binding grade, intended instrument and trial quantity. Ask the team to confirm sample availability, packaging and the current lead time for the selected configuration.
