A conical thin-wall reaction tube is molded with a flexible cap hinge and flat frosted cap. The cap enters the tube opening with even pressure, while the frosted upper surface supports handwritten or printed identification without changing the thermal-contact zone.

A conical thin-wall reaction tube is molded with a flexible cap hinge and flat frosted cap. The cap enters the tube opening with even pressure, while the frosted upper surface supports handwritten or printed identification without changing the thermal-contact zone.
The frosted cap is designed primarily for identification. For fluorescence detection through the cap, confirm that the optical path and cap finish meet the instrument requirement; a polished optical cap may be preferable for qPCR.

| Standard packaging reference | 1,000 tubes per pack; 10 packs per case, subject to confirmation |
Dimensions, volumes, cleanliness status and instrument compatibility are nominal unless confirmed in the current Puretest specification. Validate the tube, cap and thermal cycler together before routine use.
Intended for thermal cyclers that accept standard-profile 0.2 mL individual tubes. A tube that fits one 0.2 mL block may still differ in cap height or heated-lid contact, so confirm the exact cycler model and request samples.
| Application | Why This Format Is Suitable |
|---|---|
| Routine endpoint PCR | Individual tubes support flexible reaction counts and standard protocols. |
| Assay optimization | Single tubes make it easy to test temperatures, primers and reagent conditions. |
| Genotyping and colony PCR | Clear tubes and writable caps simplify sample tracking. |
| Educational and research laboratories | Individual closures are convenient for manual workflows. |
| Short-term sample handling | The attached cap keeps the closure with the tube before and after cycling. |
Puretest PCR tubes are molded from high-purity virgin polypropylene selected for chemical resistance, low biomolecule binding and consistent thermal transfer. Uniform thin walls help every reaction experience similar contact with the thermal block.
Molecular-biology cleanliness, nonpyrogenic status, sterility and packaging options must be tied to the quoted catalog number. Request confirmation of DNase, RNase, human DNA, PCR-inhibitor and pyrogen limits when these claims are required for a validated workflow.
Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Conformance, lot traceability, dimensional reports and irradiation documentation can be discussed before purchase. Puretest does not treat every packaging configuration as having identical certification.
Puretest supports evaluation samples, current technical drawings, bulk and protected packaging, sterile and non-sterile options where available, customer catalog numbers, private labels, barcodes and distributor carton programs. MOQ, inner-pack quantity, case quantity, lead time and carton dimensions are confirmed with the final specification.
| Format | Structure | Best-Fit Workflow |
|---|---|---|
| 0.1 mL low-profile 8-strip | Eight connected low-profile tubes with clear flat caps | Low-volume PCR and compatible qPCR blocks |
| 0.2 mL individual tube | Single thin-wall tube with integral frosted flat cap | Flexible single-reaction setup and sample identification |
| 0.2 mL standard 8-strip | Eight connected standard-profile tubes with clear flat caps | Routine PCR in compatible 0.2 mL blocks |
Compatibility depends on the thermal-cycler block, tube profile, heated-lid pressure and cap geometry. Request samples and validate the exact instrument before routine use.
It may be suitable for instruments that do not require an optically polished cap, but the frosted writing surface is not automatically the best choice for fluorescence read-through.
Follow the assay and thermal-cycler guidance. Nominal tube size is not the recommended fill volume.
A fully engaged cap helps limit evaporation, but heated-lid pressure and cap fit must be validated.
PCR tubes are commonly supplied non-sterile with molecular-biology cleanliness controls. Confirm the exact option on the quotation.
Clear is the standard shown; additional colors and packaging can be discussed.
