200 µL filtered OT-2-compatible tips for medium-volume automated liquid handling on P300 GEN2 pipettes.
Puretest 200 µL filtered tips are designed as an independent compatible option for Opentrons OT-2 P300 GEN2 liquid-handling workflows. They combine a clear polypropylene fluid path with an aerosol barrier for medium-volume transfers where contamination control is important.
The 200 µL filtered format is distinct from the 300 µL non-filtered format even though both are commonly associated with P300-class pipettes. Capacity, shaft geometry, filter position and liquid-class settings should therefore be selected and validated as a complete method rather than inferred from pipette name alone.
Important: Compatibility and performance must be established on the exact OT-2, P300 pipette, rack definition and protocol. Do not substitute a 200 µL filtered tip for a 300 µL non-filtered tip without method qualification.
The filtered 200 µL tip uses a tapered clear polypropylene shaft and an internal hydrophobic barrier. Uniform cone dimensions support sealing on the pipette nozzle, while controlled wall thickness and orifice geometry help maintain predictable aspiration, dispense and blow-out behavior across the rack.
Medium-volume protocols frequently involve different liquid viscosities, mixing cycles and immersion depths. Qualification should therefore include both water-like and representative process liquids, the smallest and largest routine volumes, and the exact labware used in production.
| Parameter | Specification | Selection note |
|---|---|---|
| Nominal tip capacity | 200 µL | Filtered format for P300-class workflows. |
| Recommended working range | Approximately 5–200 µL | Verify performance at method-specific limits. |
| Tip material | Clear, non-conductive polypropylene | No capacitive sensing function. |
| Barrier | Hydrophobic aerosol filter | Avoid contact between liquid and filter. |
| Rack format | 96 positions, ANSI/SLAS footprint | Confirm deck placement and labware definition. |
| Primary pipettes | OT-2 P300 GEN2, 1-channel and 8-channel | Confirm multichannel pickup across all eight nozzles. |
| Autoclaving | Not recommended | Use documented supplied condition. |
| Item | Compatibility guidance | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Robot | Opentrons OT-2 | Hardware generation and software/protocol context. |
| Pipettes | P300 GEN2 single-channel and 8-channel | Cone sealing, pickup, tip length and ejection. |
| Tip definition | 200 µL filtered OT-2-compatible rack | Correct rack geometry and Z offsets. |
| Related option | 300 µL non-filtered OT-2-compatible tip | Use the separate page and validate different capacity/configuration. |
| Cross-platform use | Not for Flex pipettes | OT-2 and Flex tips are not interchangeable. |
This page covers the 200 µL filtered rack. The corresponding non-filtered OT-2 P300-family configuration is normally 300 µL and is listed separately. Confirm the required barrier, capacity and sterility/purity documentation before ordering.
| Configuration | Best suited to | Supply / qualification note |
|---|---|---|
| 200 µL filtered rack | Contamination-sensitive medium-volume transfer | 96-tip complete rack. |
| 300 µL non-filtered rack/refill | Routine transfer requiring the larger 300 µL envelope | Separate product configuration and qualification. |
To receive the correct quotation, specify: OT-2 model, P300 pipette and channel count, 200 µL filtered requirement, rack quantity, sterile/purity requirements and required qualification documents. Puretest supports evaluation samples, distributor supply, recurring bulk orders and OEM/private-label programs for confirmed configurations.
The filter occupies part of the internal volume and the filtered configuration is specified as a separate 200 µL format.
It is designed for compatible P300 GEN2 single- and 8-channel workflows, subject to mechanical and liquid-handling qualification.
A wetted filter can reduce recovery and change transfer behavior; review aspiration volume, immersion depth and liquid class.
No. OT-2 and Flex tips have different interfaces.
Yes. Provide the robot, pipette, method volumes and representative liquids for the most useful evaluation.
Send your robot model, pipette model, channel count, target volume, filtered/non-filtered preference, rack/refill preference, sterility requirement and estimated annual demand. We will match the most appropriate configuration and provide available qualification documents.
